This event will celebrate all things related to sharing, repairing, swapping and making! It’ll also be an opportunity to connect with others who share this passion, and promote local collaboration.
When: Sat 18th April 2026, from 10am to 4pm
Where: Totnes Civic Hall (Market Square, High Street).
Ticket: On a donation basis

This free and family-friendly event aims to showcase a wide range of projects that encourage a more resourceful, collaborative and sustainable lifestyle.

WoolFest in Buckfastleigh

Celebrate the heritage of Buckfastleigh, an ancient woollen town, at this free, family-friendly event dedicated to the wonders of wool. Whether you’re a wool enthusiast or simply curious, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
When: Sun 24th May, from 2pm to 5pm

– Meet the Woolly Nanas and a local Spinning Group: Learn from these local experts and see their passion for wool in action.
– Try Your Hand at Spinning, Weaving, and Felting: Get hands-on experience with these traditional crafts.
– Sheep Driving at 1.30pm: Gather at the Globe Inn car park for this unique and entertaining event!
– Sheep Shearing: Meet the stars of the day and learn about their care and importance in wool production.
– Talks & Live Music: Enjoy engaging discussions about wool as a sustainable, natural material, paired with fantastic live music.
– The Share Shed – A Library of Things: Access affordable, useful items and learn more about this initiative (free annual memberships for low-income households).
– Network of Wellbeing: Discover more about this local organisation supporting community wellbeing.
– Plus much more to explore! Refreshments will be available on-site (cash only, please).

REPAIR CAFE NEAR YOU

The Repair Cafe

A Repair Cafe is a community-based event where people can bring broken items (like clothes, tools, electrical appliances, or bicycles) to be repaired by volunteers with various repair skills. It’s a way to encourage reuse and reduce waste, while also providing a learning opportunity and fostering a sense of community. Donations welcome.
